Love the vac former. I built one of those for my school class in the Arctic to use. We had trouble getting the Lexan to soften at the right temp, How do you do it?

Thompson's interior looks really good. It could be used to make a mock-up for vac forming. The seat back would have to be thicker and slope away, and the fire extinguisher could only be half, but it would make a great light interior, and the idea could be adapted to other cars as well.

This has to be the most amazing proxy out there,

I can mail Dave the Porsche 934 Ninco cockpit I shot the photo of. He would have to make a mold of it out of silicon, then cast in resin, then use that to pull the vacuum forms. It's up to you guys, let me know and I'll ship it out ASAP to SoCal. This would change the cost and that has already been decided upon. There I go mucking up the boundaries again...

We are still several weeks out due to the decals having to be proofed for size on the actual RSR body (David is shipping me the first one) and then before they are sent to be printed.

The first RSR body already has 3,000 miles on it! Arrived today via USPS, box looks in good nick but I'm coaching at my daughters spirit night rehersal, sending from the auditorium. Will report back later.

Mine is all ready :snooty: for some rallye snow action - werks 1984 953 ex-Ickx Paris-Dakar style!



The job David did on the RSR is amazing. Here I am at 10:45pm printing a test sheet on the ink jet, spray gluing and mocking up the RSR. So, please, these are not the final decals, only printed on regular white paper for sizing. I need to make a slight change to the side scripting, adding some more solid area on each side to extend a little past the wide arse flares! That should be it, everything else looks ok size wise, right? I included two special tail decals RSR and HRW. Yes, there is a GOODYEAR supposed to be on the rear bumper.

WOW! No time wasted there! Those are going to look awesome!
Looking at the contours, etc - it looks like I am going to need to buy and learn how to use some of that decal micro sol and micro set stuff to get everything to follow the contours nicely - so not only will I have a sweet new RSR - I will get to learn / try something new! :D

Ok, I just finished revising the decals.

- Adjusted the size of the IROC down a tick to match the name height.
- Adjusted the script black sections to be longer.
- Scaled the UNION 76 and CHAMPION down a tick to fit the bumpers.
