Maserati 5000 & Bugeye Sprite - another 2 on 1

Did the 1/25 Bugeye body and was hoping the chassis set up could also work for a recently purchased used Hawk Maserati 5000 kit body. Fortunately, a shared track width of 1 13/16" works and the adjustable PCS chassis allows for the Maserati's shorter wheelbase.



This is a pretty old kit with no cut out windows except the rear which I've just filled with some scrap plastic as it's needed to hold the rear tube posts for the chassis.



I've always liked the swoopy lines with a long hood and short Kammback rear.





Some red finish with white and blue stripes should work for the body and the windows can just be blacked out.

The wheels and inserts are BWA ones with Paul Gage tires on the back and Ninco small Classics on the front.

Progress. Got some paint on, Tamiya primer and red, and colored Pactra trim tape for stripes.







Not that much bigger than my other little cars.



Just needs some paint details, roundels and Future acrylic to finish it off.

Got the 1/24 Graham Hill partial driver figure from Immense Miniatures, so the Sprite could be finished along with some paint detailing.







Went for the helmeted and goggled head that sits and swivels on a brass rod in the neck area of the partial torso. The others have been painted so a change can be made easily.
