tin_indians-
Yep. By default. We tried the huge window in the bulkhead between the drivers compartment and the body, and it smelled dangerous and smoked. We shoved it back down, taking a chance on reversing the switch. It went down and we never touched it again.

While I'm struggling to duplicate the painted decorations on the car (which is taking forever to get finished), I thought I should post this. I found large sets of paint pens on Amazon for cheap, and I have been testing them. The best set so far is water-based opaque flat paint in 18 brilliant colors from an outfit named "ZEYAR", made in China, owned in Japan- art students may have run into these before. Use them the same way you use the Molotov Chrome pens. I have the extra fine point in that one. Next best is a set of metallic paint pens, with 2mm tips, from a Chinese outfit carrying the German trademark "STA" Metallic Pen no. 8151, which is a marker and drafting instrument manufacturer. There are 10 colors in that set. Lastly, a set of 12 very fine point metallic paint pens labelled "GuangNa" and "SumArt". The set is unique in that the colors are unusual, like metallic olive green, lavender, bronze and 2 shades of pink and many more. These things could be very important to us in slot cars. Because its water based paint, a mistake is completely erasable before it dries. The paint dries quick enough, and coating it in every clearcoat I have tried does no harm to it, provided the paint is completely dry. If you need a photo of the packages the pens come in in order to make sure you are getting the same ones, I'll post them here on request.
