Wow, that is quick, Dan. It is as fast as my fastest Slot.it and only my NSR 917 can beat that. None of my scratch builds come even close.

I'm 99% done with the windscreens and interior driver's tray in place.





Just have to mold tailights which I should have put on the master. That goes for the headlight covers too. Oh well, learned from those mistakes.

Car weighed in at 79g and I've added a 6g sheet of lead for a total of 85g. Feels a bit more solid on my test track but running on Luf's Targa Burnaby will confirm.



My Mini pick up now has a stable mate.

All in all, I think my best small car build, modelling and performance-wise.

Dan - Great job, you are making this work look effortless, where are all the struggles and frustration from working with small, scratch built components! You'll lure some unsuspecting slotter into thinking they can easily put together a gem like yours, only to run into a wall of frustration from the challenge of sourcing minuscule wheels and gears, let alone the pitfalls of soldering, casting, or vacu-forming! They might just be frustrated right out of the hobby... :violin:

You've channelled the spirit of Opel GT, Fiat X1/9, and Renault Alpine A110 and created an iconic classic.

Will you be sharing kits from your mold and vacuform?

Resin tailights popped out well with little sanding before paint detail.



Done now. Runs fine on Luf's challenging Targa Burnaby.

Next one will be white and blue based on a 1:1 Targa Tasmania entrant.

Fast setting, two part JB Weld epoxy is my indispensable material for making flares, filling resin pinholes and sometimes securing parts. It cures fast, is easy to file and sand once hardened, and is readily available locally at a reasonable price.

Really suits my impatient nature at times.
