Very cool, Dave. You could probably slice them thinner and get more from your piece of tubing.

I was going to make some for FF 050 motors with 3/4 inch square, and found a company that sold it in Washington state, but they wanted $50 US to ship me a $12 foot long piece. With our dollar in the toilet these days, it would have cost me $100 by the time I paid the exchange. I will continue to solder together my brackets.

Your $18 is $24.50 of ours. Add $12 for postage and you're up to $40 Canadian for a 6" piece. All my mail order stuff is being held to a minimum these days. And I can only see it getting worse with our boy Trudeau Jr in charge. What a fricken embarrassment.

I've made one from steel square tubing before....that might be cheaper up there in your part of the land. I think you can buy lengths in lowes or home depot too , and most any good hardware store.
