I had so much fun building the first one, I thought I would do another for a body I had been wanting to build for a while. This one uses the 18mm gear, and a tri-tube set up for the rear. The axle runs close to the motor, but there is enough room to make it work. This design is so easy, I cant believe I had not done one before this! The finished chassis with pans, weigh's in at 80gr. Not a bad race weight if I can keep the body weight down a bit. this pic is before the side rail are cut down, and any cross supports soldered in. If you have not tried one like this, I highly recommend it. It can even be done without soldering just like the old Kemtron chassis. The side rails could be bolted together instead of soldered. (sorry for the fuzzy phone pic, it was a spur of the moment shot)
