This is an online article I did back in the 90's. It was my first attempts at casting and doing simple bodies. It has been posted all over the net. It is still a very basic method with pix of slush casting a body. Nothing complicated and it will show the steps in simple casting. With a little experience it isn't hard to cast a body with an inner plug to make a thinner, more uniform body.

Thanks guy's very helpfull video ,will start by making and practicing brass chassis first but casting body will be next on my list , HRW community is GREAT

What I do is pour the inside half first. It is easier to check that the window areas are filled right, and
also eliminates the chance that silicone will bleed in between the mold and the master and screw up
the parting line. I use plastic mold boxes which do not need to be coated with mold release. Still need
to use rubber-to-rubber mold release on the first half to keep the second half from bonding to the first
half.

You can resin cast the frame as easy as the body. I made a mold from an IMC stock car a long time ago. It was easy to mold and as good as the factory nylon frames. Back then my buddy Jack Stinson made a universal frame from resin for a 16d and adjustable wheelbase. You are only limited by your imagination!

I use lego bricks to make my molding boxes. Custom to size and the silicone doesn't stick to it either.
But as Dave said , the inner part and the outer pour need to have release agent between them.
otherwise you end up with a solid block of silicone.

Glue gun and cardboard can make a custom size mold box, legos work fine, or masking tape and cardboard. It doesn't take much. I keep thin cardboard on hand. I like the smooth finish cardboard that some has with shiny, colored artwork. Mostly I use cardboard and tape. I have a small number of plastic boxes I use for stuff like wheel inserts and little pieces. I have been known to use modeling clay shaped around a small part and then used for a one time mold. You just have to remove the master part easy so you don't distort the clay mold.

It is amazing what you can do and it becomes a challenge to make it yourself!
