"New" Limited Modified Rules at MFSARG

At the group I am currently racing with - Mid Florida Scale Auto Racing Group (MFSARG) - it was decided to do a bit of changing around to our "Limited Modified" guidelines. Most of the changes open the category up to a lot more selection in body/chassis combinations. The "Limited Modified" category requires the use of a commercially available chassis with also requiring no modifications to the chassis.

Now we can narrow - up to 25% - the width of a chassis. That gives us just over 3/4 of an inch to remove from a Parma FCR chassis. We can now run some of the early coupes and such.

Since it is still in the development of the guideline package, we are building some cars to fit in the guidelines and then we'll race them to see how they "match up".

It's time to do a build, so stay tuned, I'm waiting for the mailman to deliver . . . . . . 37 Ford sedan from the good folks at Hobbylinc.com.

Well the package arrived Tuesday morning. But I went back into the hospital Monday evening.

I chose the '37 Ford Sedan by Monogram.

From what I was just told by my Doc, I will be released today about 10 AM. But I will be heading to a Mid Florida Scale Auto Racing Group's event at Buzzard Bay. Looking forward to racing once again. I've been away about 6 months because of the Pancreatic Cancer.

My dear wife knows just how much getting out and playing with my little toy cars means to me. So she will be making the run down to spring me and the we head to Fubar's place.

Well obviously things did not go according to planned activities.

I got stupid - yes I will admit it here publicly - and was in a rush to get my stuff and head to Fubar's place. I attempted to walk, unassisted, from the car to the house. My pit bull was so happy to see me that I got her entangled in my feet and fell. Luckily my face broke my fall, so all looks normal. Just need a new pair of glasses, but I weathered the storm.

All of a sudden my "stats" like blood sugar and blood pressure started going in every which direction. Doc said it loud and clear, "GET BACK IN BED UNTIL I CLEAR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!"

Clearance finally got approved after some medicinal changes. So I am very, very ready to get back to business. I do believe it's time to warm up Mr. Dremel and build something!

No update today.

A good friend of mine, a cabinet maker, heard of my maladies and dropped by to visit. He asked if there were anything he could do to help me.

Well I chose to use that invite to have him order me some wholesale priced 3/8 x 4 x 8 MDF. He also offered to make all the cuts as long as I gave him a list. Perhaps I negotiated him doing the routing on his big machine? We shall see.

I hope to get back to my work on Monday.

Tomorrow is going to visit some slot racers and have some fun, then Sunday is a day for family.

I think I might be going offline for sometime. I have had some really bad days this week. Can't sit and concentrate are as pain is interrupting.

Hope I can get something to relieve the pain.

Hope to have some results after visiting Doc on Tuesday.
