I wish.....

Those were from my younger years.

I've bought and sold many cars over the years but unfortunately I don't have any oldies currently.

I had a '69 Firebird 400 car in the past which I wish I still had. It had a 400 with dual quads, Super T-10 Aluminum 4 speed and a 12 bolt rear end. I use to run it open headers and it really rattled the windows! It had a storied past. I bought it with 22,000 miles on it after a friend feel asleep at the wheel one night and ran it into a telephone pole. From the fire wall back it was still fine. I put a new front clip on it with a '69 Z28 disc brake set up sub frame. I ended up selling it and found out a year later that it was sitting in a garage that caught fire and the roof fell down on the car and crushed the roof. Needless to say I think it had a death wish.......

I also had a '30 model A coupe with a 402 BB chevy, 4 speed and a Ford 9" rear end out of an old mustang. I wish I still had it but it was the car I ended up selling to get me through college to earn my Engineering degree.

Now a days I don't have the time or money with a young family with many activities. I'm lucky to be able to be into slot cars currently on a one income household. My hot rod now in mid life is a '99 Regal GSE with a super charged V6 that gets the family around to their events. It has a cool engine in a 4 door sedan. It is kind of a sleeper and will move out when I get on it.

Maybe some day I will start building 1:1 Hot Rods again........

I miss those days with my Dad and Uncle working out of our garage.

They have since past and I am the last gear head in our family still carrying the passion.....

Some day I hope to again......... :D :D :D
