fast chassis build

Tried a little experiment at work this AM, bent this up in just few minutes to see if it was a plausible alternative for some chassis building. 16 g sheet metal, ,simple bends in a hobby vise, and cuts with a dremel. random axle holes as this was a test.possibility's are endless with this design,and certainly an inexpensive option. not a new concept by any means, but one i had not tried yet.

Bob, that's a neat way for making a open wheel chassis. For NASCAR, sportscars, trucks, & sedans, you could use a solderable metal & drill holes for pin-mounting tubes in your side uprights.

The sheet metal is very solder-able!, just added a wire loop to show how easy. And this design is very versatile for any builds i would think.

The Chanel is a great idea, I was just trying to figure out what i could do with several 8ft sections of 3" drop from another shop project, It was there, and so was my bender, so?? :lol: Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
Those are nice chassis you have there though.
