Can anyone point me to some pics of HO modifieds or build threads? Especially 70's & 80's body styles. Thanks.

Have you seen this? How can someone do so much...with something so little. This inspired me to get an HO track.

My club has a coupe class for '60s and early '70s NASCAR modifieds. Those can use T-Jet or A/FX chassis, beyond that almost anything goes. The A/FX cars usually handle better, but you have to cut the body mounting ears off.

At one time we raced Tyco and Lifelike M chassis cars with Lexan NASCAR SK Modified/Featherlite bodies.

Now we have a class for Aurora Magnatraction and JL X-Traction cars with Whelen Modified bodies.

Some sweet looking examples!
That Vega body is pretty slick! :)

That Vega body is an Aurora original which has been re-popped by Johnny Lightning/Auto World in recent years.
Like many T-Jetters, I bought a bunch of 'em to do the Modified thing, too.
Still looks great as it was originally intended, a Pro Stock drag car.
Always wished Aurora had made a Pinto to go along with it back in the day!
