Neat project Mark. I had a blast with the resin HO bodies about 6 or 7 years ago. I made a D type Jag, and a couple of others to fit the G plus chassis. Cant wait to see this one.

I bet! Lots harder than plastic or resin for sure. The scale realism you will be getting will make it worth it I'm sure. I think my favorite of the old G plus cars was the Ferrari 312, and the Cheetah. they were the most true to scale that I can remember. At least I liked the way they looked a lot better that than most offerings at the time.

Good idea! The one in the photos is mounted on an AFX Mega G+ chassis, did that work out better than the Super G+? They're obviously easier to buy than the now (unfortunately) discontinued Super G+. And it does give you the option of the longer wheelbase version if needed.
Looking forward to seeing your completed body. Good luck with the project, and... Enjoy! -- Ernie :>)

Good choice.
How heavy is the donor body 'as is', sans base?
