Bolton's Speed Shop late model sportsman repaints

Postby BRP32 » Tue Jul 14, 2015 10:30 am

Awhile back I posted that I had been buying hot wheels bodies to put on Ho slot car chassis. I found these hot wheels late model sportsman bodies for under $1 at the local discount store and have been putting them on AFX G plus chassis with the original foam rear tires to allow them to slide through the corners.

I just finished up painting and decaling these bodies. The three chassied on the track are various paint schemes by hot wheels currently on these bodies.

The oval is slowly coming along as you can see. I'm off on vacation this week so I hope to get a lot more finished up.

Wayne - these look really good. Thanks for posting this. I finally found one of these bodies and this post may prompt me to get busy converting it (and looking for more).

Thanks everyone for your kind replies!

Very much appreciated.

I got more progress done on the track today since it rained a good part of the day.

Outer walls and advertising were added today.

More pics to come.

These hot wheels bodies are so cheap and easy to chassis that they make a great inexpensive field of cars for anyone's collection. A lot of fun painting and detailing.

Thank you so much again everyone!

It has been awhile and I just wanted to share.

Thank you for the heads up on the new color out.

Thanks David!

I have to take more pics of the oval as it is coming along. I have the outer walls and advertising up currently.

Life keeps getting in the way of me completing it.

More updates to come shortly.....

Hi Bill!

That was kind of you!

I haven't had a chance to scour the stores around me for any yet.

Usually my wife and kids want to go shopping but we have been so busy with other things we haven't went to any of the local stores lately for me to track any down.

I want to paint and decal some more once I find some.

It is good to have future projects in mind.

Like I have posted above I need to do more with the oval yet and I have done a bit since the last pic.

I will take some more pics when I get a chance.

Bill it was very good hearing from you and lets keep in touch!

Time to go and relax for a bit.

Have a great evening!
