Finally got my buddy to take the plunge. We had a great time racing on the floor (oh my knees!!). He now has the 69 Shootout set along with a ton of additional track and some converters to go to the AFX click track to make use of some 9-inch curves for fun twisting racing. We even hooked up an Electronic Control Center to run a few races. Lap times with 5.2 seconds on the larger 2-room layout. We had the most fun racing the classic AW X-Traction cars that we bought from the local hobby store. Of course, quality control in China means you need to strip down 50% of the cars you buy to discover an brush sitting sideways in the cup, thereby explaining the poor sounds/friction/slow speed. But I took care of all of that and we were racing and bashing fenders. Fun times. I highly recommend getting down on the floor and running as much track as you have into other rooms. It's a blast.
Hi nice and wonderful thing about ho scale, get all the tracks together, you can have fun for many hours, there is one member of HRW has made 101 slot car layout volume 4 and it is for AFX-Tomy and Autoworld, you can change one to another and have a lot of fun... btw nice bunch of cars Sylvain
