Sorry but I hate the banked section. Might also cause problems with some cars as they are designed to go on relatively flat track. Appreciate some plastic tracks market banked sections but all you are doing is effectively making your track shorter with less skill involved. Squeezes also are to be avoided as they are just a lost passing opportunity. While some full sized tracks still have chicanes (mainly to keep speeds down) most banking has been removed on safety grounds.

Great looking track though.

I'm not in the scramble but like everything about that track. Carrying more speed through a corner just means having to manage things more up ahead when cars do have to slow down. The home of 'Greatest Spectacle in Racing', the Indianapolis 500, is (slightly) banked at around 9 degrees in the corners.

As for chicane sections, I like them too. Most road course races I've seen have some ideal places for passing and many other places where patience is needed. Being held up by a slower car, or having to plan a pass for position is a part of racing too often missing from slot car racing. I've been to many a race where when traffic is encountered played a role in the ultimate outcome.

One question - which way will cars be going in front of the driver's station?

Very, very, nice track.

The race has been run, I have results but I'm pretty busy for the next two days. By Sunday I should be able to reveal all the details.

And here are the final results:

It appears that no cars were damaged and all have survived intact.

There will be at least one more round in Washington so stay tuned, we'll keep you informed.

Thanks for the run this round. Congrats to the winners!

Are the Q-times correct in the final results? Looks like there is a mismatch maybe? These guys were great with Qnotes. Anything new from the race that we could learn from regarding the shake up in results. Looks like some cars hooked up well this round.

Tony and Monte,
Thanks to you and all who helped run this leg of the series. Well no podiums for me but congratulations to those on the stand. Looks like I have some work to do. New shoes for the old runner at least.
