The cars are here. I’m waiting to hear from Wayne on a tentative schedule but my goal is next weekend.

We will follow the same format as last year. First step is conditioning the track for rubber using the Tire Draggon. I will then give a very very light coat of NSR rubber conditioner on the turns. Run some more laps and then we’ll be good to go. Qualifying and feedback will be on a recorded video.

If time allows during qualifying, we'll test and do a quick review on an Area 71 car in prep for next year. Stay tuned.

Here’s a picture of Wayne’s World. Voltage is set for 10 volts. Wayne will do the qualifying.

Nice looking track. Looking forward to seeing a GT car compared to a Group 5 car. Will the GT3 proxy be as fast.....time will tell!

No doubt TA71 car hasn't just been thrown together, I'd bet it's quicker than most Gr5's ;)

Ladies and Gentlemen, The plan is we start to run the Tire Draggon on Saturday morning. As long as the track comes in OK (and I'm sure it will), we'll qualify Saturday. Wayne will drive the cars for qualifying. As with our tradition, Wayne and I will video tape qualifying with feedback. Qualifying will be in reverse order of the standings. After qualifying we'll continue to run the Tire Draggon in all lanes. Again, as long as we're happy with the track and the traction, we'll hold the race Tuesday evening.

Since this is my only time to really test rubber tires cars, not only will we be testing the Area 71 Corvette, I'm going to let Wayne drive my Trans Am proxy entry to see how it compares with these cars.

We all look forward to your event and report out on the TA 71 car. Would really appreciate any comments you may have on my car to gain a greater perspective on how to build a better entry for the future.
