I have a friend who has just built a wood track with lane spacing to run 1/24TH scale cars. I like the BRM Porsche's and I see there are two types. One that has the rear wing as part of the body, and one that has a wing set up that uses a strut system such as the Toyota 88C. My question is for those of you that have run them in competition, how is the separate wing 962 holding up? I have a couple of 1/32 cars that use the separate wing and I find them fragile. Are the 1/24 cars wings attached any better? I like the looks of the 962 Momo Porsche. Thanks for the help.

Your last sentence is what I was hoping to hear. Especially the part about being able to bullet proof them during assembly. Thank you for your help Mr. Brown.

The Porsche arrived on Monday. I assembled it, prepped it and took it to the track on Tuesday. This is the first 1/24TH scale car I had run since the 60's. My initial thoughts were that this is a nice model. Very nice detail and out of the box handling as compared to what I remembered from past experiences. Now for the upgrades.
