Im making ghis thread to share files for others to print. I print in stl so that would be a plus. But anything you want to share would be great!

Yes this thread is for the do it yourselfers just wanting to make stuff for them selfs and maybe a few friends. Not to make money but anjoy another game changer in our hobby.

The only up front cost for me was purchasing a 3D printer, the files to download and print are free :banana-dance:

There is a thread on another forum where folk with 3D printers can offer to print things for people who don't have one. Both parties can negotiate a deal regarding costs / postage etc.
Might be an option for those who haven't purchased a 3D printer

That sounds hassle compared to just putting a file on Shapeways.

This area is for US as a slot car community on HRW to simply help each other print things and find things to print that relate to our hobby.
The files we are getting are from Thingverse for the most part, which is a searchable and public place and has no cost. As we don't own these files, we are unable to put them on Shapeways for someone to PAY for them to print them.

Well let folks share what they want to. These are for people that have home printers and want to share ideas and files. That is what this forum is about.
If you work for Shapeways, then good for you. But stop the hassle for those that want to simply share their own way.
