I ordered some parts today, and with a little luck I'll get my first Modified into the Slam. I'll be studying the Showdown gallery to steal plenty of ideas.

Working on painting and finishing my Showdown car this is the first brass chassis car I have built I have two questions first what do you clean the brass chassis with before painting I have all the dremel tools to clean the brass and solder but I remember Harry talking about washing them but can't remember what post that was to find it and what paint will adhere to brass? and I need to purchase some drivers who sells them?

Fitzy that looks great especially for a first chassis. I wash with Dawn dish soap and a wire brush or spray it down with brake cleaner before priming and painting. For drivers I like Kyslotracer’s ( his inserts are excellent too) and I’m pretty sure Harry has some too

Fitzy, a good scrub with DAWN does wonders. Little baking soda & vinegar or spray some Lime Away on that brass cleans and shines.

Paint will stick at first but it chips off during combat. I use Duplicolor Laquer and it holds up the best.
