Artin 1/43 track and cars by Dragon-i Toys

What are you feller's opinions of the the 1/43 Artin brand slot cars and track since they were bought by Dragon-I Toys a few years back?
Are the tracks comparable to the old Artin tracks? Are the chassis and motors still as good as the classic Artin offerings for scratch building?

I believe these sets are the most recent ones on the market since Dragon spent $250k in retooling and new molds for the Porsche GT3 cars.

From what I can tell from the pictures, the cars look nice. Would be nice to see the underside to see if they are using guide flags.
I am not sure why the 143 stuff stalls in North America once guys start building. I have built dozens of scratchbuilt 143 scale cars, and the the building is similar
