Hey Guys,have any of you tried out the Carrera GO Plus system?
I got a set from Brian from BRS hobbies..
As always super fast shipping and support from Brian..
After you get used to it the Ghost car function can be a lot of fun..
Does take some time to set the car right so that it stays on track
and is still fast enough to give you some competition..
The car speeds up were you do and slows down where you do
as you program it to run on your layout.The other thing that
to me made the set a good value are the included R2 curves.
Reminds me of the Scalextric deal they had out some time back..
Forget the name but you could program a car in about the same way.
The Scalextric system seemed to only work on a smaller layout though.
I incorporated the GO Plus into my larger layout.If interested

i tried the GoPlus system, wanted to put the controll unit even into the desmo.
but the system worked more or less good on the carpet, but not in a way that i would go the whole way and integrate it into the wood track.
a nice system for the carpet, so.

I would have to agree on that.The system seems to work OK,but I have keep my Parma controllers and after market power supply for serious running..

Is there a lap time limit?....The Pacer has a 10sec. limit, which basically
limits the length of track.

I worry every time I use the Pacer Unit it will fail, being about 15yrs. old
and they are getting hard to replace.

No sir ,no lap time limit.You run two laps,stop the car before you go thru the start /finish line on the second lap.
Then you switch over the Plus system to what you want to run,20 or 30 laps,or unlimited,then unplug the lane two controller(ghost car lane)..
