The cars started arriving yesterday, quite a lot of hoopla and excitement filled the air. Qualifying was done this afternoon under sunny skies and cool temperatures.

Most of the cars ran very well, only a few had chatter in the turns resulting in slower Q Times. Some cars were under motored for the longer straights here at Cornerstone.

Fun group of cars to run, very nice detailing!

Weather permitting, the race will take place next Saturday the 25th. Hopefully there will be pictures to post as well.

REPAIRS:
#53 Twin Narbs Corvette - passenger side wheel came off, re-glued

Interesting observation, cars #149, 20, 23, 4, 44b, 54 & 77 all had a copper glaze on their wheels, BEFORE they arrived here! After I checked the first car that was driving like it was on ice, all the tires were checked and cleaned if necessary. The #49 was the first to exhibit the ice skating, I cleaned the tires after the 2nd lap and performance was greatly improved.

Thanks for cleaning the tires. Nice to see the BARC Porsche on the top side of mid pack. Thanks for the pictures as well. It is nice to once again see some very fine cars done up in the PanAmerican flavour.

Looks like a Porsche vs Vette race up top. I knew the #149 would start to stretch its legs. Congratulations SS1963, Chris W and Redlynr and nice showing BARC1. Good luck to you all and have fun participating

Thanks for posting the quali results and the pics, Bob! Good looking field of cars there - for sure. Every time they run, it's like a new show.

BARC Headquarters

The team is anxiously awaiting the next leg of the Mexican PanAmerican race. Qualifying 6th has bolstered the spirits of the team at home who helped prepare the car for this gruelling race.





Conditions are tough in a race like this. Good luck to everyone
