Those are great old kits. Fairly advanced for the time. The driver doesn't lean? Take a razor saw to his bottom! I would almost bet you could get him to lean whichever way you want. :)

I seem to recall that this was Monogram's first all injected plastic kit (PC01). It is not bad for its age and even the reissues sell for a goodly sum.

In those days I must have built at least five or six of those models and I sure would like to still have at least one of them stashed somewhere. I heard a while back that Monogram lost a lot of their molds from their early days and I'm thinking this must have been one that got lost.

That's a sweet kit. I have one of the reissues here that I haven't done anything with. They're kinda big, about 1/20 scale I think but they would make a great field if you had three or four of them running together. I saw one one one of the midget threads going around lately that had 1/24 H&R fronts all of the way around. They're probably a bit large for this body scale wise, but she looked pretty cool anyway. Like Harry said measure the plastic wheels and use the closest you can find.

I have one of those as well, it is huge compared to the other midget kits out there...
I haven't done anything with mine yet, I was thinking about putting 1/24 plafit wheels on mine... big ones

If you look around on Ebay, there are a bunch of 60's vintage, old skool wheels from Buzco, Dynamic etc. They were made in various sizes in both 1/32 and 1/24 with the 1/24 being the more common. They also come in various widths. They have the flange on the outside edges rather than the center. I picked up some 1/4" wide by 5/8" on the hub (7/8" on the flange) Dynamic wheels for a 1/24 project not long ago. I found some tires from Paul Gage that fit the wheel. Those wheels would be perfect for the front of that midget. If you found a pair of similar wheels that is about 3/8" wide, they would be about perfect for the back.

I have one of those kits and yes there a bit large for 1/24 scale but are still a great kit. As far as wheels and tires go EJ's have plenty to chose from that will work just fine.
