A little while ago I posted looking for a yellow Jo Bonnier Sloter Lola T280 - after a bit of searching (and some help) I finally thought I had found one for the right price in Spain. A mate was ordering some cars so we combined orders and I thought all was set. Alas despite it being listed on the site the car wasn't available so the seller offered another car instead and he had the body of the car I wanted - I thought why not. I also spotted another body that I like and the correct set of wheels.
Today the package arrived, and the friendly chap in Spain threw in a bonus for me. An extra body.

At the least I will have 2 fine looking Lolas though they all look pretty cool so I may end up with 4 of them by the time I am finished

Great catch. I liked them. Mine is....in need of work.
That will be a nice field when you are done.

"Can-Am", "Interseries" or "Group 5" (2nd or 3rd 'gen') are all awesome in my opinion.
A Lola is always welcomed, regardless of the number designator.
I've never tinkered with a Sloter. What type of configuration - inline, sidewinder, anglewinder? Compared to a Slot. It, how does it stack up?
Nice stable you will have there. HRS2 chassis will work in an outstanding manner in any of those bodies.

I have a spare HRS floating around somewhere....(slot room is in a mess)
The cars are sidewinder and once tuned go quite nicely. Not quite up there in slot.it territory but not far off either.
I also picked up a ferrari body in the deal - 1 full car, 4 bodies + 12 aluminium wheels and 8 plastic ones for $85 delivered from Spain to Australia
This will be my 4th Bonnier livery - I have a T70, T222 and a M6 as well (unfinished kit)
cheers
David

I got one these in a trade. A white kit of which I painted a fantasy livery. It runs very well indeed with just a little tuning. Too bad they went out of business. :) I wonder if SCC has Super Tires to fit these rims. I think they're MB Slot.

Those are very nice cars. Did not know they made the one livery so that is something to look for. I like them as they run well, somewhere between Fly sidewinders and Slot.it sidewinders. I have upgraded a couple with new axles, gears and wheels and it helps the handling. The real nice ones are the 'racing' versions that come with aluminum wheels and an upgraded motor.
They are also fun to repaint. Here are a few I've done over the years.

Cool looking cars and probably superior to the T70 but in my opinion by this time they had lost their sexy looks.

Do not under-estimate the stock Sloter chassis...
A couple years ago, I took a Sloter Ferrari 312 to CT and won against some very tough competition who were using the Slot.It version of the 312. I recall it was a very close finish with Wayne, but nonetheless, it showed everyone there that the Sloter's were the real deal. Don't ever count them out.....
