Well, have plans here to head to HRW Jims for a race day.

That is IF mother nature allows it. What a snowbound mess.

Have new toys from SCC and Paul Gage. Plan to get another project well underway.

FIRST, I have "Papaw" duty :) The little ones are coming tonight for a sleepover. I predict cookies and toy shopping to start the weekend right :)

Mine won't be much fun with the wife in the hospital. It's not looking very good. It's all in Gods hands now. I'll work on some projects when I have time. :cry:

Working on a LMM car tonight at a friend's house, hopefully breaking ground on the new track tomorrow, and getting snowed in on Sunday.

Since getting my new routed track running a little past Christmas, I've had steady weekend projects going. The Tire Razor stays busy getting former magnet cars to handle smoothly on my non-magnet raceway. My Fly classics were all converted to Paul Gage urethanes and are running great. Had some of those cars over ten years, seeing sporadic track time. Now they zoom.

Stayed up last night 'til 12 finishing up a Monogram Charger using the "Harry Wise recipe." On my track the Cotton Owens Dodge has turned out the be my fastest in the series yet. Could be I'm learning a bit along the way. Will re-visit the others this weekend to see what tweaking they might need.

Swapping an EVO chassis into an older Slot.it Jaguar to see if I can revive it. Fairly inexpensive upgrade. Have an NSR Vette that remains a beast to drive. Trying to smooth it out will be a continuing challenge.

I had a slot car frenzy planned, three MOPARs and a Camaro, but a radiator started leaking last night and I haven't heard from the plumber yet. The carpet in there is ruined and stinky already. Good thing that part of the house is on a slab.

Well I HAD some things planned for this weekend. But due to the current situation with my right arm, I have had to cancel them. I have a lump on my shoulder blade that is pressing on some nerves and my right hand is basically useless. BTW - typing with only your left hand is NOT fun! The doc saw it this past week and after some basic testing, he will be removing the lump and hopefully the arm will return to normal.

NOT playing with slot cars, nor being able to work on slot cars is just not any fun.


However, my situation is nothing in comparison to what our friend FootScoot is going through. My friend, I hope all works out the best for all concerned. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.


Thankfully NASCAR, Formula 1, Indy Cars and some other forms of automobile racing will either be broadcast or webcast, so I can at least enjoy watching others race.

Sure do miss my Fridays at DeBary Glen.

For me, I'll be watching movies and driving a Challenger SRT-8.

My wife and the ladies in her book club rented a beach house for a weekend of.......... book clubbing. That makes the entire weekend free for me. I am in the midst of major housekeeping and rearrangement of my man cave going on. That is a huge job! I have a used Ninco 356 Porsche coming in the mail that I will hopefully get a chance to play with. It is an older NC1 powered car, whoopie! And I have some ongoing magsteer projects as well.

My thoughts too go out to Footscoot and his wife.

Nice car!

My son just bought himself a Dodge Challenger R/T Classic. "Header (?) Orange" (we called it "Hemi Orange" back in the day). He opted for the 5.7 liter Hemi in the car. It's a great car. Handles superbly, rides nicely and gets 25 mpg on the highway. My 71 'Cuda 440 6-bbl got about 9 mpg. But a whole lot of fun.
