I have the same car and installed a Slot.it orange motor. Replaced the driveshaft spring with a plastic sleeve. Used an oilite bushing to support the driveshaft. Borrowed a friends Tire Razor to true the front wheels and tires. Swapped the stub axles for a solid axle. SCC bushing alignment tool positioned the SCC bushings in the rear. Gearing is 3:1 with Scale Auto crown being one of the best on the market. 15X11 SCC five spoke wheels shod with SCC 2112 silicone tires. Opted for SCC braid and lead wire. Sanded a minute amount from the chassis to allow for some body roll then buttoned it all up with SCC smooth shank screws.
Final analysis, it still looks like a Kleenex box on wheels but it sure knocks the snot out of the other front motors in my stable.

I've got several of those Lister Storms. Changed all of them to solid axle on the front. I haven't tried tuning any of them yet. To my eye they are cool looking cars, something really different. 8-)

Great minds, Harry. I dusted one of these off about two weeks ago. It's the dark brown UPS-looking car from the 3-car Le Mans set. When I first got it, the rear axle was bent, so I stuck a Slot.It crown on it. Car makes a cool sound, and it's so much fun to drive. Can't believe I had it in the 'for sale' pile!

I have that one and a white one. Just did basic tuning and a tire change. They show their stuff well on wood but are only OK on plastic. But I love that mean race car look.

Ah yes it was one of those that was my first purchase of a 1/32 car. Yes , hard to believe I know.. who would have thought that with my user name. The detail of that car is what sucked me right into the hobby. Look how far things have come since then. Still a unique looking car, good purchase Harry.

I know there was the first issue, and then the 10th anniversary edition, both datasonix liveries, but the diferences I have no idea. :)

I never put mine on the track in stock form, I just put the body on a Slot.it HRS chassis.

It's good to see that car on it's new home track and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you do with this fellow.

The difference is the 10th Annv badge on the hood.
