Long weekend for some folks, what kind of things you have planned?

Dad is coming over this morning (day off for me!) and we are begining the transformation of our old Carrera T-Birds into SCCA racers. SCC Steelies, PG Tires, M/T motors, Slot.it gears/axles, and PCS32 chassis. The original Carrera front-motored ones with the strange square bushings put us both off as too much work for too little return. So, those will be up for sale - mint!
Sadly, when my box of parts from SCC came in this week, I received Dum-Dums...because a 3# bag of them isn't enough. Either that, or I'm just not smart enough for Smarties...but I digress...I'll give them to dad ;)
I also got a huge order from a German hobby shop I am currently working on, some continuation of molding activities (ok, I have to START - I just lost another week!), and hope to get some paint on 1 more McLaren M1b.

Last night I rearranged my Scalextric track, ran a Cartrix Aston Martin on it for a while, and then made the mistake of following that up with a Slot.it Jaguar. Having witnessed one of the most superbly engineered slot cars flow silently and smoothly around the circuit, now I can't seem to enjoy the noisy rattling of the Cartrix. I'll be trying to settle that thing down a bit by replacing all four wheels with BRM's, which means that I'll most likely be replacing the axles, bushings, gears... this suddenly became expensive. Oh well. It must be done. I need at least one of my Cartrix Grand Prix Legends to be a joy to drive!

Two weeks putting together the Proxy Pony wore me out. Time for bird survey season here, so I'll be out getting sweaty and muddy all day. I may look at chassis options for my new Ariii 1/32 kits after dark, though.

I just finished ducting HVAC into the garage for future slo...er.... kids skating use.
This weekend will find the family visiting in laws in Cincinatti, so I'm guessing on Monday we'll go looking for Cincinatti Recipe chili and somehow suspect we might find a slot car shop..............

No running cars this weekend as usual, no track. Still waiting on the pinion gear for my Carrera X-Bow. Once I get it I'll be able finish it, yippee! :P

Just got back from running an hour on the local track. Ran my Sideways DP and my 29K SlotIt Lancia L2. Fun! Tonight I am setting up the Slot Dragon to do some trials with my HO cars with my 9 Y.O. son.

Lets see, its Mom's birthday this weekend so going out with the folks for lunch Sat. Our kitchen sink faucet is leaking through the hose so I will be stopping by Lowe's in the morning to replace that after lunch. As for slots My Carrera Cheetah is painted and I have to put the tires on the Razor and setup the B-Nova in it. Decals for it are on order but wont be here until next week. I also have the hardtop Cobra to work on with some go fast parts from the SCC guys so when the Cheetah is in limbo waiting for decals I have something else to keep me busy.
