We have family in for a visit. The General has a big menu planned, so we will be busy. Plus my little nephews will have some fun downstairs racing a few cars I have ready.

Plus, couple Carrera models on the bench to finish up. No paintwork, just a oil change/rotation+balance :)

What about you folks? Any fun plans?

Going to an IT Security "event" at a theater in Denver - talk to some vendors, hand out some resumes ;) and see The Hobbit for free as part of the event.

Need to put tires on my Jeep - thought I could milk these to 55k...not going to happen - so I'll be spending some serious cash on new shoes for the old girl this afternoon.

Work on my projects tonight, and hopefully make some progress!

Figure out how many calories are in the new Diet Dum-Dums...

David, good luck in Denver. I need to complete the timing system. Just can't figure out what to use for a light gantry. I have the LEDs, pc, and trackmate ready, but lack creativity.

Still working on some projects. Need to change oil in the car, but really don't feel like rolling around in the driveway, may get lazy and take it somewhere. :)

Just found out yesterday that we will be working through the weekend so no time off until next weekend which really puts a crunch in getting things done for Xmas. I finished up 2 of my projects last weekend and thankfully so, as there will be no time this weekend.

Going to finish up the Christmas shopping and run some other errands. I will try to get some kayaking in on Sunday.

Working on Razors, got a 6th grade band concert at 1 then me and the girls are going to a new joint here in town called Nothing Fancy, after that its to the basement for some car building.

Last night the UPS guy brought two cartons of card stock which are the last of the materials needed to start a magsteer track. The track will be just two laminated layers of card stock with a steel guide wire imbedded which will lay over one of my wood slot tracks. I will start on it today. Other than that, we are preparing to have our two daughters home for the holidays.

I got the Carrera 917s and it is time for them to hit the track this weekend. I recently began playing around with making my own tires and I'm gonna see what I can whip up for them. I've got into the mood lately to try new things in the hobby and its extremely satisfying.

It's racing tonight! With the big boys absent tonight, a win can just be on the cards, uhhhm track.

Got the grandsons over for Saturday nite. If the weather cooperates, might play some disc golf on Sunday

Actually it's working for me as well. But mine is an enjoyable job.

A good friend and outstanding slot car racer came by the house yesterday and asked for a favor. He has recently decided to start "Retro Racing" according to IRRA rules. To do this, he needs some chassis builts. So he came by and ordered 6 chassis. I hope to have them ready to ship on Tuesday, so it will be a weekend of wire and brass creativity.

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.

There's a German winter market locally... beer and mulled wine, yes please!

We're all still sick around here, so I'll be sneezing and blowing and coughing and being miserable all weekend. Phooey.

My Mom is here for Christmas so there will be eating and talking and enjoying company.
