2.4 ghz Wireless Controllers

2013 - the year of the 2.4ghz wireless controller

Scorpius have announced there wireless analog module is available. They have had a wireless controller for digital but have now produced a module which connects to analog track and lets you run wirelessly

Carrera are offering a wireless controller as are Ninco (I think)

and Kyosho seem to have their wireless controller available - not just for dslot43 either it seems it will work for all slot cars.

will be really interesting to see the pricing on their controller and how it works out. They partnered with one of the leading RC controller manufacturers - so it should be good gear in terms of wireless reliability - it looks like it has good features for slot cars just curious to see how good.

I saw this controller in Germany, yes it will work with any analog system.

I also tried the Slot It Oxygen wireless system with the prototype of the SCP2 controller and it works very well. This year Carrera will have wireless for the analog system too.

The 10115 set comes with what you need to plug in to any Carrera analog track system. A power supply plugs in to the right side of the recharging station for the controllers. The track piece replaces the standard analog track connection piece in the system.

Programming the controller to the lane is simple.
1. Press the red “Lane Choice” button on the base track piece to select the lane you want to program (you will see a red LED light, light up to show which lane you have selected).
2. With the controller in your hand then press the black programming button on the top of the controller.
3. The controller is now programmed to that lane.
4. To Program the other controller to the other lane push the red “Lane Choice” button again and select the other lane and repeat the programming procedure.
Range on the controllers is about 50’, more than enough range to use your W+ controllers from any place around your track.

The set comes with connection track piece, 2 W+ controllers, and 2 track shoulder end pieces.

**NOTE**-These controllers are the same W+ controllers used for the digital system (you can see from the photos that the red lane change button is on these controllers, but as of yet the red button on the controllers has no function for the analog system). The only difference is that these controllers have gray grips.

Expected release of this is August/September of this year.

Oops didn't mean to leave out the slot.it solution - I have a slot.it controller and may get the wireless module for it...

Were they using them in Germany or only prototypes Dave?

I used the prototypes of the analog Carrera wireless controllers at Toyfair in Germany. I used the protoype of the SCP2 at the Slot-Connection club outside Nuremburg during a race where Maurizio had the prototype. He let me borrow it for my heat races, it was very cool to use.
