More Sideways

As always I am far more interested in the cars just announced rather than the ones here or nearly here!
The BMW M1 looks interesting, but I was struck by the group 5 Stratos in a previous post.
Good to see that the Sideways range seems to be taking off for them to add more.

I'm looking forward to all of the up coming group #5 releases from Racer sideways. If they perform as well as the first Capri release,(with a little work) I'll have them all.

From the prototype image shown of the BMW M1 I am curious about what car they are modelling, as it bears little resemblance to the product from Fly or to most all of the photo images of the race car at least from the windshield back. All of the photos I've seen have flares over the wheel wells but not the boxed in areas similar to the Capri. But this is way too early to make a judgement and I am obviously not familiar with all of the racing skins the BMW M1 was covered with throughout it's racing career. But the body shown will not lend itself to as many liveries as the body style used by Fly.

OK I have found images of the version Sideways has selected and to me it is just not as attractive as it's less modified brother. But I will still most likely purchase one.

B.T.W. the Lancia Beta is on the shelves. Pendle's has stock and Papponni has one in ebay auction and 4 BIN's. I'm sure they'll be in the States shortly... :dance:

These two look great. Yeah, the DP car is another DP car but it is cool. Of course the Lancia is a must buy. Mine will hit the road tonight.

That Lancia does look brilliant!!!

The Fruit of the Loom livery is beautiful too, I hope Racer gets the Group 5 cars into full production, they are a good thing overall and will make for a great class of racing (no more "performance matching" models from several manufacturers)...

My Monogram BMW 320's might have something to run against now (with magnet of course) ;)

I wanted something else than the already offered and proposed Racer Sideways Capri's, so I decided to do a Jagermeister/Fantasy liveried Capri.











It is now waiting for the clear coat and will debut soon afterwards. The "standard" Lancia will have to do for now. ;-)
