I have no idea on those shore ratings. That doesn't mean much to me really. How they fit the wheel and the grip they provide is what matters.
I will say they are very soft, fit the wheels well and provide great traction on our wood surface. If you have used his tires before, then you expect the same performance.
What I really like the most, with both his tires and the Old Yellers at SCC is how easy they are to sand and contour. I have fit many a wider tire under a car because I can easily reduce the diameter and width to suit the particular model.
