2013 Carrera news

I'm posting this news but there is more than only 1/32 news. I'm a bit restricted in the questions I can answer at this point that this topic might raise so please be a bit more patient and full news will be shown in about 2 weeks during Toy Fair in Nuremburg where I will be reporting on all Carrera news for 2013. There will be more decorations of many existing molds. These are new molds for 2013.

Lots of potential there. The Ferrari 512S Berlinetta in 1/24....if it is as gorgeous as the Porsche 917 they did, I have a friend who is going to be very broke.

But a 512S in 1/24? Wow...is that going to look great next to the 917. Smart move there, Darkside guys will be happy I am sure.

I and others were spoiled by the great new American race cars released by Carrera in 2012, but are there no new models of American iron in 2013, and only repaints of older molds?

Yes, these are all of the new molds. I'm not able to say much now I'm sorry... i'm flying to Germany next Friday (the 25th) and the show starts a few days after that. So you don't have long to wait for more (full) news.

Have you developed some sort of "brain wave receptor" over at Carrera?

I mean the recent Carrera releases have caught my attention and now reside in my stable.

Just the other day I was watching German Touring Car Racing" on SpeedTV and thinking this was German version of NASCAR. Since we just got our routed track installed ane up & running at our club, we have found out the Carrera Stock Cars are a real hoot. Perhaps DTM racing will be just as much fun.

Many of our members are impressed wit the low purchase price / high value ratio of your products.

Keep up turning out this type of products and you should have a very strong year!

I'd love to see Carrera issue a '60 Ford Starliner to race alongside their Petty Plymouth Furys.

As it stands these don't really have a historically-accurate opponent to race against. Maybe one day?

I too would like to see some new classic NASCARs, maybe some Chevys and Pontiacs.

I would love that car, but I wouldn't mind seeing mid 70's instead.

This way you could do Chevrolet and it would be worth the mold effort as there were so many. A Laguna would be perfect to do battle against a 72/75 Petty Charger.

But right now I am happy tuning the ones we have. I am sure Carrera will come up with something cool :)
