I just did the same thing to my chassis, but I am out of PG tires, the stock rubber was pretty sticky after a little time in the Razor, not saying they are as good as PG tires but they stuck well on my track,

Jeremy that chassis looks like you trimmed it with a rat LOL did that dremel get away from you?

thanks for the updates, you are correct about Carrera cars, a little simple tunning will make them good runners

and I am just gigging you on your trimming, I have to keep my chassis pretty since the car is on its roof when I drive it

Funny how some of the mods on that chassis are the same as Carrera. GOOD JOB!

I only have my smaller oval set up now, but this car is my favorite to run on it to say the least. I actually like the newer tires Carrera has, at least on my plastic track it seems to have a lot more grip. I've been running a good .3-.4 faster with this car than my stockers from a few years ago. Really worried about doing anything to it right now as I've never done it before, but it might be a project I want to tackle if need be. Good job on it.

That's the formula I have followed on Carrera NASCARS for a long time. Here's a shot from years ago when we were showing the difference in ride height before and after. Note the position of the exhausts, both of which are still attached to the chassis the way they came. Only the body is dropped.

I always enjoy seeing people tune the cars the way they like them. Nice write up.

Nice one Jeremy! Nice tuning tips too. I've done those very ones, plus a couple of extra ones, and all have improved the runnability of these cars. I think I may have one or two more of these cars, so I'm going to put one in the projects pile. 8-)

Bibbster, nice, thanks for sharing. Jon, I agree with you about Carrera tires. Must be a new formula because they work well on my wood track.

They did change it from what I was told. I sanded a set and the thing to watch for is how long they last. As with older ones, the grip at first is good. They just dry out like most other stock rubber tires.

Which has come in handy because these older tires make for perfect zero grip fronts.
