TGIF! Short week

Yes, a short one but what a week eh? Going back to work was not fun.

So time for the weekend.

I have multiple projects tossed about. Iggy is on the bench, awaiting parts. Going to change out the rear end on this one.

Need to paint my start/finish area on the Show-Me. Using The Great Bob's decals to finish it off. Then I need to build a mount for my webcam and remove the old prime first/pull start DOS machine and make room for the laptop.

RMS Resin Datsun! Doc made sure I had plenty to do so this little gem came in. You know I a going to booger the paint up, but I am thinking it can pass with the "race effects" rule :)

Webwork too...updating the site and forum.

What about you folks? Still reeling from Christmas?

My youngest (28), is already on his way home to the mountains, and his older brother (33), is driving him. Big brother will go home to Georgia on Sunday. I'll sleep until the following Sunday.

Oh yeah. I really miss my slot cars!

Yes what a week! But I love these short ones and could get used to this very easily. Another long 4 day weekend and I have lots of projects to get done.

I have a new Slot-It GT40 that will be getting a motor swap with Mark's MT-1.

Then, I have a Ninco Citroen Saxo that will be getting Pro-race wheels and new tires along with a MT-1 motor swap and Slot-It gears. Then I have to get these 2 Carrera Cheetah's tuned up.
I hope to get lots of laps in with the Cobra and Cheetah's too.

Also going to go through the garage and find some cars to clear out and put up for sale.

Its going to be a busy slot weekend!

short week? I will have close to 40 hours in by quitting time tonight and I am on call this weekend, we are working Monday but only noon till 8 unless I have to go to the airport.

I have 12 hour drive tomorrow. I hope to arrive home to some Christmas presents to myself. Some racing at Bibbster's could be arranged as well!

Friday spent sorting out the toyroom and trying to find my workbench. Sigh. I am chaos personified when workin. Put in a big order of slotty bits from around the world as I have quite a few proxy cars to prep and some recent arrivals to tune. However the won't arrive for at least a week.

My older brother and his two sons (18 & 16) are expected to descend upon me today, Saturday. It's one reason why I straighted out the toyroom. Had to find some places to hide a few precious cars. I expect tomorrow will be spent running repairs to both cars and track.

Looking forward to life returning to "normal" on Wednesday.

Spent today looking for a car I know I have, talk about frustration. Oh well back to looking. :roll:

Had friends over last night for dinner and visiting, and we actually did some racing on the PDR! Their eldest son (21) and his girlfriend had never driven a slot car. After a few minutes, they learned the track and away we went. We finally resorted to 50 lap races and they did pretty dang well. The two young adults were really blown away with the track. His girlfriend is a ceramic arts major and was very interested in the molding I do as she has done it for her ceramics. Interesting conversation and always fun to hear how it is done elsewhere.

Did more work on the mess of Can-Ams on the workbench. I also made my own decals - more on that once I prove they work.

Tonight we are going to a local German pub for dinner as it is my father's birthday today. Mmm...schnitzel, spaetzle, and BEER!

Tomorrow is really special though, as 24 years ago I married my lovely bride! She still loves me somehow, so I'm either a good salesman or a lucky man! We are going to see the Hobbit as a family in the afternoon, and Wendy and I have a reservation at a really nice place next Friday night.

After another busy week (thanks to everyone who placed orders :) ), we're hosting a 3 hour enduro at the store tomorrow night. Should be interesting racing, as the rules are as easy as they get. All you need to be legal is to run 1408 Supertires on 17x10 wheels. Otherwise, it's wide open :banana-rock:

Should be interesting to see what guys bring out to race.... :shock:
