When talking Can Am cars, you need to have one of Jim Halls winged wonders. For me I chose to model the car that ended Jim's driving career, the Chaparral 2 G.

Again this is built on a sidewinder Gift card chassis with turned aluminum rims and photo etch inserts. I cast the rear tires from urethane for the best traction possible

The body is cast in resin with quite a bit of work done on the cooling vents. The windshield I vacuum formed, and the decals were printed out on my laser printer.

This turned out to be a very smooth runner and is only 0.3 seconds off the pace of my fastest car.

Next car up is a 1963 Grand Sport Corvette. Mold was made and I have popped out about 6 shells

Thanks guys. I have just recently retired so I have time that I never had before to to this kind of thing. A couple more cars, then I think I 'll be doing some golfing so the builds will slow down.

I have lost 40 pounds while working on this stuff, so my wife is being very patient. It takes my mind off of being hungry.!!!

Cheers

Dan
