Porsche 911 Transam Chassis

I finished up detailing the Brass chassis that will be used in Harry's Brass Am. By using a smaller motor I was able to add some detail for the rear engine. U2 boxer( Note this motor is located behind the rear wheels to answer a challenge that was made in another thread about running a slot car where the motor is supposed to be]. I also added a fuel cell up front.

Here are some pictures with the body on. This is a ARII plastic static model of the 911.





The new design motor is supposed to deliver twice the torque of standard motors. I measured this at 48gms/cm for this motor that is 10X10 X19 mm. I am guessing I will be off the pace of the other cars, but it will be interesting to so how far off. If I am in the Ball park this car will probably be my entry into David's Transam proxy race as well.

I bought more motors then I will ever need so if after the Testing at Harry's track, others are interested, just let me know.

I would praise something eventually, too, but I can´t see a chassis. :think:

I only see a brass strip that seems to be the sidepan.

The interior on the other hand is very nice and I like it. :clap: :clap:

I showed just the chassis in another thread, but forgot to include a picture of the bare chassis in this thread. I will rectify that

Not completey happy with the interior as it looked a little piece meal, I decided to redo it.

I got rid of the passenger seat while I was at it. Learning from the first attempt I was able to fine tune this interior some. Added some padding around the roll cage.





Also here is a picture showing the mods to the original chassis to that were required to mount the motor aft of the rear wheels. I lowered the motor slightly as well.

It will do barrel rolls around corners, that is all I will count on.

This motor is truly U2 when compared to the competition, so I am not expecting much.

Consistent and easy to drive is what I am hoping to deliver.
