@ retro racer - Yeah, need those fat rear tires and wide track on these small cars to keep up with the stock Slot Its, my goal on these builds. Need to narrow the stock 1/2" .063 brass strip to 3\8" to fit.

@ dreinecke - Fabricate guide tongues from .063 brass strip in different widths depending on the motor bracket used. Two holes drilled, a 5/64" for a guide post and 3/32" for body mounting post. Soldered in between the mail rails which are usually 3/32" square for small cars and 1\8" for large.

Solder in 3/32" square as mounting pads for the 1/8" square axle tube. Round 5/32" is used for guide post and carefully bored out with 9/64" bit to accept Scale Auto and Sloting Plus universal guides.


Mock fit the body and it's going to work.



Think I'll do some side pipes to emphasize a V8 look.
