Had this Lagartijakit Lola T290 resin kit for awhile so it's time to put it together.





Uses the Sloter Lola T280 body components and chassis. I'm going to pass on the latter and put my own plastic/brass chassis underneath.

I just googled this car, and most pics do not show the tall vertical fins. Since they are a potential breaking point anyway, you might want to customize it to one of the other styles. There are even pics of the 27 Kodak car without the tall fins.

Hi Keith,

Yeah, those tail fins are pretty thin and vulnerable to breaking. However, that modelling feature was what attracted me to the body. It's also got a nice ridge along the top of the body sides like a McLaren 8D. If they eventually get broken, I'll just trim them off.



Got the basic chassis pan done to fit the Devised Designs super slimline motor pod, so it'll be rolling soon.

Side pans are next and then a test run on my twisty wood track.

Yes sir, really nice.

Some progress.

- Straightened out warped body sides with a clamp and heat gun.
- Epoxy filled head lamp cavities.
- Seated Slot It Sauber wheel inserts (rears modified) into the 15 x 8 fronts and F1 rear rims.
- Cut rear wing and interior tray from styrene sheet.
- Modified a Fly Classic driver figure.



Mock fitted the interior tray, driver figure and wing.





Going to work out.

Sprayed on some Tamiya white primer then Camel Yellow, one of my favorite colors. Applied the fiddly decals and paint detailed to finish.









Runs well, but not as fast as my Porsche 908-3 conversion. A good companion anyways.



I'm primed now to take on my 1/24 Lancia Stratos build's Alitalia decal sheet.
