This an old Monogram Corvette Grand Sport body I had lying around fitted to a chassis made with 2mm brass rods, brass sheet, and D3D front and rear carriers. Slot-it axles and gears, with an M/T Slimline FF050 motor. I had a terrible time getting a chassis under this thing, due to the original front motored configuration and deep interior tray. The D3D rear sidewinder pod and slimline motor finally did the trick. Still had to cut the tray way down and add a new styrene bottom to it. After I finally finished it, I saw a NOS Monogram chassis on ebay for $3.99, still in the package. But what would be the fun of that?

I'm not sure how you could NOT consider that a scratch build! And it is a darn sharp looking one at that!

Looks great! And yes, I'd consider it a scratch built, but only if you show us pics of the chassis.... :lol:

chassis2.JPGFor those who asked, here's a pic of the chassis before I installed the guide and motor leads. The angle makes it look longer than it is. Actually pretty compact. I used the small D3D front carrier, with SCC axle spacers. I think you could put this combo under just about any small sports car body. Wheels are CB Designs 15x8 five spokes. Rear tires are Paul Gage 21104s. Fronts are some rubber tires I salvaged off a Scaley Mustang. 18mm Slot-it spur. 5mm pinion. Thanks for the comments.
