Hobby shops in Zurich.

The ones I know of are the train shops.
Carrera slot cars are ungawdly expensive in Switzerland (as is most everything compared to the US).
Just thought of one that might have slots. There's a toy store on the Bhanhofstrasse, on one's left walking away from the station, that had slot cars.
Franz Carl Weber. Transportation stuff is on the top floor.
If she's willing to look, she might find a German slot car magazine on the newsstands. Newsstands are all over, especially in the train stations.
