When might you get the new SCX-A10192 Renault 4L Safari car that has also been released?

I love those Abarths that SCX and Reproteck did. They are a blast to repaint. I always said I would do some scratchbuilt chassis and never got around to it.

Check out my tutorial on making a chassis on a honeycomb board, Waay. It uses a Reprotec Abarth body.
http://homeracingworld.us/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=7557It is a fun little car that runs good on a short curvy track, but I would have to gear or power it differently to make it good on a big track with long straights. The racers at the club like it when I bring it for the hill climb car.
Cheers,
Keith

How soon they forget, Keith. I was an early proponent of your ceramic honeycomb. In fact, I bought several for HRW guys with no access to internet stuff. I even gave one away as it was too small for my big hands!
That tutorial really was invaluable. I don't know if you realize it, but that changed the face of HRW scratchbuilding. It really was a great gift you gave us. This is my 6th chassis in 1/32nd by this method. I did 3 in 1/25th.

Or Scx cars better than Carrera cars. The Carrera versions of some of these are about $13 cheaper than the price for the Scx Cars. Indybob

Not really. I have not tested the new models, but older versions are not really any "better".
Since I am very pleased with the DTM offerings from Carrera, I'll pass on these. The little Abarth might find a home here though.

I always liked the spherical bushings and more precision axle fit that SCX cars have had. You didn't have to worry about wheel hop with an SCX product or the requisite supergluing of the bushing to remove the axle slop like you had to do with Carrera and Scalextric. Out of the multitude of SCX cars I bought (mostly Nascar) I only bought one SCX car that had a wheel bounce. In that case it was from a wheel on an MGA being pressed on crooked at the factory. I've always wanted one of those Fiats. Maybe this will be my chance to get one.

The Fiats are neat - tiny little car - looks great humming around the track.
The DTM cars look really neat but hard to pass up the Carrera cars - if the price was closer then the SCX would get the edge on livery that Black and Gold is a treat
