I know this is a 1/32nd thread, but I must give a high praise to the Porsche 917's in the 1/24th scale!! they are awesome machines. Thank you Carrera for nice work in both scales!!!!! :text-bravo:

Well I pulled the magnets, the reversing switch and switched out the rear tires; the boss promised me he'd let us know which PGs fit, in the meantime I sanded down the center rib and put on a set of Indy Grip 1305s (same tire that goes on the Greenwood Corvette). Quick test on my small home track with no weight added it performs better than the like Fly. Lots of potential! BTW this has the Carrera FF (slimcan) motor.

My yellow and red 917 arrived today and even though I haven't run it yet I am very pleased. First I have to admit I was expecting it to be somewhat over scale like the earlier CanAm Lola, McLaren and 917/30. To my surprise it looks very close to the Fly and NSR 917 and is just as good or better looking. Later this evening I will be taking it for a test drive.

I have a yellow and red one on the way. I was going to have a small drink at the fountain of Carrera, and I ended up falling in! I have three other cars coming too. I ordered the Dekon Monza, the 1957 Chevy and the Group 5 Beetle. I hope I can tune the Beetle and Monza to run close together. I have no idea what to run the 1957 Chevy with, and the 917 will get a dancing partner when the purple one is delivered. I am really looking forward to seeing how that 917 runs. I will have to hurry up and get the track back in order so I can run them when they get here.
