We will be holding a 6 Hour race at the Michigan 24 Hour track. This is a pre race for the Michigan 24 hour race so the rules are the same as the Michigan 24 hour race with the exception of the light requirement. We will probably order pizza or something during the day. Everyone will just chip in $10.00 for food. You do not have to be in the Michigan 24 to participate in the race. Teams that are going to be in the Michigan 24 if you want to split up your team you are more than welcome to do that. The only requirement is that your team has 3 drivers. Each team that is on the track racing must supply a marshall. This race is for testing purposes as well as a race. If your team would like to change cars during the race that is legal as long as the car that is the replacement is a legal car. Any car changes must be done in the designated pit area.

Time : Doors will open at 9 for guys from out of town, local guys can show up after 12 noon.
Date February 9th
Drivers meeting at 1:45 and start the race at 2:00
Address : 7746 Clyde Road Fenton MI 489430
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Mike

Mike,

Do we need to reserve a spot for our team. Myself and Greg are planning on being there, not sure about other team members but should know in a couple of days.

No since it is a 6 hour race we can do a round Robin no problem.

Barring any scheduling conflicts, I plan to join Butch and Greg for the race.

Sometimes I wonder the same thing. I just get stuck in the mud once in a while.

I plan on making the trip out, hoping I can get a couple of our racers to join me. I’m hoping to learn a bit about the race and track.

Sounds good Scott, most of the guys are very helpful and will help out any way they can. This track and race does have a steep learning curve. That is the reason we do this pre race.

Scott, this is speed secret #1

TIRES, TIRES, TIRES

Bring lots of different Quick Slicks tires that have been glued and trued. Test them all and find the set that hooks-up the best on that track, on that day and on that car.
