I started working on my car today. Sorry I didn't pick up a copy of the rules for the next series so if the questions I have are addressed in the rules I apologize in advance. With regards to the Carrera DTMs. The rear magnet pocket hangs down below the chassis, are you allowed to sand it flush with the bottom of the chassis? The side skirts and rear bumper are heat tabbed to the chassis. Are you allowed to take them off the chassis and glue them to the body to allow for float?

Good questions. I would hazard a guess and say yes to the magnet pocket and no to the skirts but the final ruling will rest with Bear.

By the way, there's talk of running 1/24 Carrera on Saturdays . . . .

Wick is correct. Sanding the magnet flush will be allowed but moving the sideskirts is not.

And due to the snow this week, the current series finish has been issued to Mar 2, which pushes the start for the next series to Mar 16

Rules have been posted here:

Sanding the magnet pocket flush takes away from the stock concept of the series...Lowering the car etc...

Sounds like the carrera guy is looking to gain an advantage...

I don't think the magnet pocket should be sanded flush, but enough to have .030 clearance underneath it. The rest of the chassis will have plenty of clearance.

I still quite a newbie and Paul and Scott have valid concerns. I would like to have a group concensus on this. Next race night, Wed March 2, we will be discussing.

Thanks
