A large transporter box arrived today from Dennis in Irvine, CA. I have yet to unpack the cars, but the box looks intact; although a little tired at this point.

I will try to get the cars prepped, qualified and raced over the next two weeks, so that they can be on their way to the next Round before I leave on vacation on September 20th.

I talked to Bob Bianchi at SCC yesterday when I picked up the ROAR cars and it's looking like he can run the quali for us in the latter part of the week of the 12th. Racing, hopefully, on either the 17th or 18th. Shipped out on the 19th to the next track and I'm on vacation starting on the 20th. :banana-dance: That's the plan right now.

Bob Bianchi from Slot Car Corner came down to The River Run this morning and qualified the cars. He ran 10 laps for practice and another 10 to record the best time.

Here are the result from this morning's run:

And that's it. The order for Saturday's race will be the reverse of today's qualification run with the #9 starting off and the #917 being the last car in the queue.

BrumosRSR and chrisguyw were in a class all by themselves at The River Run; both very smooth runners and well hooked-up to the track surface. The next group of cars were more than half a second adrift of the leaders.

Racing this Saturday morning - results, probably, Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Sounds Great Allan, interesting qually times, , looks like there should be some close heats.

That #2c looks like it's coming on strong, Chappy, as does Tony's NSR 917 and Matt's Shadow. Should be a fun race for those cars on Saturday.

It's real, Tony. There's 0.6 seconds between you and Chris and the rest of the field. I'd say that your tires have worn in during the previous rounds, because your car is smooth, fast and easy to drive now. The River Run has a smooth surface and is a technical track, so it rewards cars with good traction. Maybe you should try putting 100 laps on your cars in both directions before sending them off to the races. Your tires are very soft and sticky; they almost feel like NSR Extremes. Check the last couple of races, your car has been qualifying closer and closer to the top. Anyway, you're on the top now - good job and yours is now one of the cars to beat! :text-bravo:

We ran the Round at The RIver Run this morning. Matt (changing.gearz), Jeff (dge467) and I were the drivers. Matt's wife, Toby, ran the computer and kept track of everything - thanks Toby!! :text-bravo:

Heats were 3 minutes each, for a total of 9 minutes of racing for each car. Drivers stayed in their lanes throughout all heats: (Matt = red), (Allan = white), (Jeff = blue). The track was wiped down with a tack cloth before the start of the race and each car had it's tires swiped on a sticky pad when it entered onto the red lane (red was the first lane in full rotation for all cars).

Some very close racing throughout the field; a lot of mini-battles for positions that could have gone either way, and a lot of positions that had to be broken with fastest lap times. Here are today's results:
