Received my Monza!

After looking it over, I went to work with a screwdriver and then one of these 1/8" round burrs in a dremel to pop apart all the heat staked parts....

Here she is waiting to go in the 91% alcohol bath - should have a "blank" canvas to start paint on shortly! :)

I took it a bit further apart than what you would "have" to - but I find it is easier to work on that way. :)

Alcohol stripping complete - we have a clean canvas folks!

I'm liking the blue after the paint removal. OK looks like I need to buy me a car and get on board.

Arrold - your not the only one that thinks that the slate blue base color looks good! I like it well enough that I kicked around using it as my base color after seeing it - but for this one, that won't be the case. :)
I have some paint that I have been wanting to try - so instead of slate blue for a base - she is now sitting with her first coat of Burnt Copper Metallic - and so far, I am liking what I see! :D

More pictures to follow as the color come along!

Were the headlight covers "clear" under the paint? I ask because I have one coming and I was thinking of lighting it. Thinking of a repaint as well but I won't be entering the proxy; I need this car to compete in our local Group 5 class. I also like the slate blue, btw.
