Postby btaylor » Mon Feb 16, 2015 7:17 am

Sorry it taking so long here guys, I have a house full of company, and very little time to do anything slot related. I will post the race results hopefully this afternoon. The Qual's went like this.
1. HRW best lap 3.423/average 3.56
2. Retro #45 best 3.491 average 3.610
3. retro #44 best3.506 average 3.73
4. Brew #1 best 3.560 average 3.64
5.btaylor #38 best 3.645 average 3.79
6.shotgun best 3.675 average 3.750
7.brew #2 (45) best 3.847 average 3.98
8. Lufs willys best 4.048 average 4.278
9.TTodd best 4.294 average 4.550
10.Slottherapist best 4.308 average 4.47
I must say, All these cars except mine were terribly overpowered for my track! They were a blast to drive, and if they could put that power to the tires, they would fly! All qualifying was done in my HOT lane #4.

LOL, Harry, your car just wont quit!. I figured it could not get ant worse, so we ran it. Even with big block power in that baby, she still is one sweet driving car. The surprise to me was that it wasnt really lane friendly, It took them all like it was tuned for this track. Retroracers44's 40 coupe was the same way.

Looks like my "what do you mean there are corners?!?" hot rod pick-up is gettin' another good look everyone's tail lights again...
Hopefully it is at least entertaining to rocket down the straights with! :D

Look forward to seeing how everyone's ride shakes out in the race portion!

Was I too quick to encourage Harry to keep his car in? Now that it is lighter, it could just win this thing, eh?

Bob, were they still overpowered at 8.5v or were you running higher than usual? My Ford coupe needs all that power to move all that weight. Good to see you have a car in there again.

Have a good race,

Keith, I run the oval at 12 volts, and that was more than enough for these guy's! I wont run the cars on the road course, they are just two squirrelly for the scenery around that track.
Harry's car is out of the race. He asked me to ship it back to him from here. The chassis is still salvageable at this point, but it wont be if it keeps on racing. Bad For him,, GOOD For us! that thing is a rocket, and it sticks like glue.

I was just joking, as I still hope it can stay in. Maybe we can have a lull for a couple weeks between rounds so Harry can re-body it and send it to the next round, or send a different one of his many legal cars for this proxy.

Feel free to reduce the voltage to a lower level if possible, maybe 11v or even 10v. The cars would be easier to drive at that power.
