HOOHAH! 5 different candidates for Gulfblau are ordered and on the way. I'll get it right no matter what, meanwhile, I found the correct latter day Gulfblau for a 962 I've been planning, too. I feel a Lee-style painting splurge coming on... HE IS TRYING TO POSSESS ME!

That's my usual plan, too. The satin finish of some 1:1 paints with a little wet sanding and a good, light clearcoat really can pop out when the car is one you know in life. For fantasy liveries, it seems like super shiny makes them more realistic. Never have figured out why. Just seems that way to my eye (and since right now I only have one eye from time to time...)

Yep, it was one of the very first ones you did. The Sprite isn't nearly as lavender as the photo looks. That's the camera picking up undertones.

So.. with all the goodies coming from Dave, I have ordered the correct paint (it's not yellow! :o ) for my car. Next week should be a fun week building :D
