I wish I had a better way of making my tires lower profile.

While the scale looks of all these wonderful RSRs are spot on (yes even the tire diameter and ride height), I think this might play a big part in why they roll so easily. The center of gravity and polar moment of inertia is really too high. I've got my wheels to the very outside limit on width as I could to help, but a nice trip to the razor for lower profile tires would make these things stick like an Audi quattro

I thought 12v was what we were going to run and I set up the car for 12v.

I'll be running 10 volt. I just never seen a reason why you would run 12 volt on home tracks unless you have about a 20 foot straight.

Pretty sure Slot Car Corner runs there's at 10 also.

So you guys I go to set up my new to me Carrera Evolution celebracers track last weekend and the silly connecting piece only one side of the track works. Ugh. Yeah Dave K is getting it sorted. But anyway isn't Carrera track 12v? I'm totally ok with 10v (I'm not hosting or can yet until the replacement arrives) and would think your right Rusty they won't roll over as much.

I hope it works out at the voltage we planned for. The cars are weighted for 12v, and they will have lousy takeoff 2 volts short-- not fair at all. The only time I have ever heard of running at lower than the intended voltage was when there was a spate of insanely overpowered cars, mostly F-1s. We wound up replacing the motors after all, and put the voltage back where it belonged.

I don't care one way or the other, I'm just looking for solid top 12 finishes so I can get into the 'chase'! :D My plan was to run them at 12v here as I don't see this motor is being too hot for 12v by any stretch. I just ran my first few laps, chassis only, at 12v and those times were nowhere near 'too fast', with the body on the times will only increase.
I think it makes sense to let each host decide b/w 10v or 12v depending on what works best for their track. Like I said, when they come here they will race at 12v.

I'm right on schedule (my schedule that is :? ) and the car should be ready to go tomorrow, which of course is a Holiday so it should hit USPS on Saturday…. The one problem being I don't know where to ship it :think:
