Thanks Dave. I burn up a lot of mouse batteries! All in effort for the scale police research department of course. Most of all the original IROC RSRs look to have had the graphics redone at some point in their storied lives and the replication of typography and placement isn't the same as the original. It is my hope and obligation as an Art Director to make sure our rendition is good to go there.

I was able to design the complete decal set of the 12 IROC RSRs this weekend, here is a sample section of the art file, I've included some extras. Fine tuning of measurements to follow.

It certainly would be nice to have the Alps print the white, yes of course this will cost us. I'm just concerned about image quality output, I haven't printed anything on an Alps before, the 1/32 size decals are very small. I do have this design drafted in Illustrator as vector and export to .png at 1200dpi so I can control the print quality on my end, I just want to get a fantastic product. I don't know Mark at M/T Racing, one of you veterans be interested in introducing me to him?

Another decal thought, If we decide to choose the me printing method…

All 12 RSR decals fit on a 5.5" w x 8.5" h layout. So, I can print out one sheet for each person and they can be able to build all 12 RSRs if they choose!

I can save ink and paper and print out each individual's RSR with a second print as extras.

Also, what is the preferred method for coating the decals? Krylon Crystal Clear, Future? I sent a set of the T. Adamowicz 911 Trans-Am decals to dreincke and used Krylon crystal clear. They came out nice, two coats and the last coat was a wet one. I don't think they were too thick, maybe a tick dusty, blaming THAT on the darn balsa in my shop from my sailplanes.

I can leave them uncoated and each person can spray their preferred sealant on also.

As far as the coating on the decals , I vote Krylon - I've been using that as a final clear on my all my paint jobs lately.

@Fumey - thanks, If I print these I'll forge on and use Krylon crystal clear. If you use Krylon for final clearcoat, I might do 2-3 dust coats on the decals instead of a wet coat.
